We use a commercial-grade enzyme detergent that is non-scented and easy on the skin. We have tested it side-by-side with household detergents and our commercial-grade detergent gets the stains out better. We use bounce sheets in the dryer for scent.

This is our most common question! Yes, we separate. You don't need to do it.

Yes, we will do your laundry how you want it done. There is a notes section on the last screen before you place the order where you can put instructions. They will print out on our ticket every time.

Some large commercial laundries will use mesh bags and wash several loads together - not us. We always keep your laundry seperate. We keep track of it using a modern point of sale system. Like any business, ocassionally we make mistakes, but we always figure it out and correct it quickly.

Yes, we specialize in bedding and towels because of how many short term rentals we have worked with. We know our laundry chemistry well enough to say with confidence: your linens and towels will last longer when Detroit Laundry Service is taking care of them.

Our team has regular group training to ensure consistency. How many laundry services can say that?

Yes, we use a fragrance-free detergent that still does a great job getting stains out. We do use Bounce sheets in the dryer as our standard process, so in the notes, say "All Free & Clear Sheets."

Alternatively, we have many customers that send their own products.

We tag every bag right away. When it is brought back to the laundromat, the launderers note the washer and dryer numbers that were used on your ticket. When it is folded, we put it in a reusable Detroit Laundry Service bag that you get with your first order with a name tag on it.

Yes, we are insured to be on your property. In the rare event that something is damaged, lost, or stolen, the customer will be compensated in the amount of three times the value of their order at maximum.

It depends on what we are washing. If it is towels and sheets, we use hot water. If it is normal color clothing, warm. Many of our machines have a delicate cycle if necessary. The launderer's are experienced enough to know what temperature is appropriate. However, if you have any requests, they print out on the ticket every time and we will follow them. Just add it to the notes section on the ordering screen.

Our standard detergent is unscented, but does an amazing job getting stains out. Eco-friendly detergent doesn't, but if you want us to use it, send it with your laundry and we will.

Our detergent is more powerful than the detergent you have access to. We've done the tests! Our machines are more powerful than the washers you have access to. Our normal process is going to do a good job getting out most stains. If you have an item that is stained, bag is seperate and put a note in there so it is obvious to us and we will prespot it.

Yes, we work with businesses across Metro Detroit, including Airbnb and short-term rental hosts, gyms and fitness studios, salons, medical and dental offices, and daycares. We handle linens, towels, scrubs, aprons, and anything else that can be washed.

Yes, you can set up recurring pickups.

If you schedule it yourself online, our system will automatically create the order 24 hours before.

We usually like to change it in our system to instead text you 24 hours before and ask "Do you want a pickup?" You have to respond "yes." We find that this works better for everyone since sometimes customers don't need it every week, and sometimes people just forget if they don't have the reminder.
