We are not a national app with a call center in another state. Detroit Laundry Service runs out of a laundromat in Detroit, with our own machines and our own team doing the washing and folding.

We pick up from your door anywhere in the city, wash and fold everything, and bring it back the next day ready to put away.

Corktown, Midtown, Woodbridge, Indian Village, East English Village, Rosedale Park, downtown lofts and apartments, and everywhere in between. Schedule a pickup, leave your bag outside, and it comes back the following day.

A lot of Detroit's housing stock predates in-unit laundry, and plenty of apartments here either have no machines or share a few in a basement. If you have been building your week around a laundromat trip or waiting on a shared machine, this replaces that entirely.

Flat Rates, No Guessing

We charge by bag size instead of weighing your laundry. A standard kitchen trash bag is $35 washed, dried, and folded, so you know the number before we ever pick it up. Use a different bag and we charge $2.40 per pound instead.

You do not need to sort anything. Bag it all together and our team separates lights and darks before it goes in.

Comforters are $22 each or three for $45, pillows are $5, and rugs under four by four feet are $5.

My apartment building doesn't have easy door access. How does that work?

There's a notes section at checkout where you can tell us exactly what to do: buzzer codes, a front desk, a lobby, or a specific door. Most apartment customers leave their bag inside the entry or with the front desk and it works fine in both directions.

Is this cheaper than the laundromat?

It depends on your volume, but most people find it's close once they count the trip. A standard kitchen bag is $35 washed, dried, and folded, which usually runs two to three laundromat loads plus dryers, plus the hour or two you'd spend sitting there.
