Comforters, duvets, and heavy blankets are the items a home washer handles worst. There simply is not enough drum space for water to move through that much fabric, so they come out damp and not particularly clean.
Our machines are commercial. A king comforter goes through in one pass and comes back genuinely clean. Comforters are $22 each, or three for $45. Pillows are $5.
Everything else is flat-rate by bag size, so a heavy week costs the same per bag as a light one. A standard kitchen trash bag is $35 washed, dried, and folded.
